Merrill Webb (19 Mar 2007) - I spent last Friday in Daggett County and found
a few interesting birds. Probably the most interesting was the five Gray-crowned
Rosy Finches at the Lucerne Valley Marina on the shore of Flaming Gorge
Reservoir.
They were coming in to a feeder located next to a residence that was located
just to the north of the boat launch at the end of the road. Also had a
Hooded Merganser in an area just south of the Utah border in an ice free area of
Flaming Gorge. Saw five Eurasian Collared Doves in Manila and one
in Dutch John.

Scott & Cynthia Porter (5 Dec 2004) - Just got back with my family from Historic Jarvie Ranch in Daggett County along the Green River celebrating an old time x-mas. While we were there, I saw a flock of about 70 Bohemian Waxwings. Their chatter was very distinctive.
Aug 2004
(7 Aug 2004) - A bunch of White-tailed Ptarmigans (around 10) were found on the north slope of Leidy Peak on the border of Daggett and Uintah Counties by birders on the UOS field trip.
Jan 2004
Tim Gorman (31 Jan 2004) - 4 flocks of "snowbirds" were seen in and around Manila. Around Sheep Creek one flock of about 20 dark birds was surely Black Rosy Finches. Horned Larks with Snow Buntings mixed in made up the other flocks.
May 2002
Russ Norvell - After-second-year male KENTUCKY WARBLER, banded and photographed, 5/25/02, Sheep Creek Geological Loop (about 8 mi south of Manila, UT on route 44). Bird was captured ~100 yds upstream from Cascade Campground. A Townsend's Warbler was also seen in the Pondersa stand near Colton Creek Guard Station, toward the top of the geologic loop road, in the company of several Pygmy Nuthatches.
