re: cats and birds

One time we were at River Lane and found two kittens dumped there by an irresponsible pet owner.  We took them birding with us and then over to the Humane Society on the way home.  I have heard that 70% of the backyard bird mortality was due to pet cats (This was a study carried out in England). My cat is too lazy to go outside. I guess it's too cold for her in the winter and since she's black, it's too hot in the summer.
