Pat Jividen (2 Jun 2007) - Steve Carr and I saw a Whimbrel at Huntington state park. At the end of the parking lot, the boat ramp (being 12 the bird was at two) On the far side of the lake.

David Wheeler (16 June 2005) - I stopped off in Green River last Sunday...and found the little park in town (the one with the missile) all aflutter with Great-tailed grackles and Eurasian collared-doves (of which there were AT LEAST four but probably considerably more--it was hard to tell with them being so active, flying in and out of the surrounding neighborhoods and hiding in trees).

Joel and Kathy Beyer (17 April 2005) - Lots of nice birds in southeastern Utah this weekend, including: Green River State Park - a male Yellow-shafted Flicker and a Green Heron...

Dan Cooper (24 June 2004) - ...I found a singing White-eyed Vireo in Green River, UT on 24 June. ...2 mi. north of town along "Long St.", just after dog-leg turn in road, past parked white pick-up and red bulldozer on right. In riparian scrub right where irrigation canal (drain?) crosses rd.

Feb 2004

Merrill Webb (7 Feb 2004) - Best bird in that general area was a Eurasian Collared Dove in almost the middle of downtown Huntington. Makes about seven Utah counties that bird has been observed in now, I think.

May 2003

Merrill Webb - Thursday May 29, I observed a Chestnut-sided Warbler for about a half hour from 8:15 am to 8:45 am. There was one adult male bird in a narrowleaf poplar grove along the Muddy River about 2 miles west of the Moore Junction in Emery County. Moore Junction is 5 miles north of Emery on Highway 10.  If you want to see the chesnut-sided warbler, you MUST GET PERMISSION FIRST!!! A flock of over 250 FRANKLIN'S GULLS provided an impressive sighting at Huntington Reservoir on Sunday, 04/23 (J&RT).
