HAWKWATCH INTERNATIONAL FUNDRAISER
 

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - HawkWatch International's annual fundraiser, "An 
Evening for the Birds," is scheduled for Saturday, September 24th, 2005 
from 7:00-10:00 p.m.  The venue for the event is the spectacular 23rd 
Floor Events Center at 299 S. Main in downtown Salt Lake City.  The 
annual gala will include a buffet dinner; live and silent auctions; live 
birds of prey; and live music by Utah jazz guitarist Pat Terry.

            

The variety of auction items available for purchase at "An Evening for 
the Birds," with something to fit every budget, is always a highlight of 
the fundraiser.  Auction items donated this year include a fantastic 
variety of visual art of various mediums; rock climbing and canoeing 
workshops; birding books and equipment; wildlife photographs; outdoor 
clothing; camping gear; luggage; binoculars; original pottery and 
stained glass work; autographed books; ski passes; a landscape 
consultation; dinner coupons; and much more!    

 

HawkWatch International is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization based in 
Salt Lake City and dedicated to its mission to monitor and protect 
hawks, eagles, other birds of prey and their environment through 
research, education, and conservation.  All proceeds from the fundraiser 
"An Evening for the Birds" support HawkWatch International's research, 
education and conservation programs. 

 

Tickets to the September 24th fundraiser are $30 per person if purchased 
before September 21st and $35 after that.  For more information, or to
