Re: Willard Bay Jaeger RFI

Yesterday afternoon we observed the jaeger for an hour and a half. It
spent the entire time floating in the water and feeding on surface bugs.
It paid close attention to any gulls that flew overhead, but never flew
itself, only stretching it's wings once. It didn't appear to be in any
distress, just not very active. It was almost directly out from the
first flagging that Kristin mentioned. And leaving aside the question of
the bill, we feel all other aspects of the bird more closely resemble a
Long-tailed Jaeger.
