Great Egret and more at Bear River NWR

Headed out to Antelope Ilsand and Bear River, NWR this morning. THe island was
a little dissappointing, with 10's of 1,000's of California Gull, and only 10
Shorebirds.. all 10 happening to be SANDERLING. At Garr Ranch, were:

Long-eared Owl
Gray Catbird
Cordilleran Flycatcher
Western Wood-Pewee
and all the other regular suspects.

GRASSHOPPER SPARROW - 3 miles north of the ranch on the westside of the road
singing

CHUKAR - 3 in the rocks along the road, about 2 miles from the turnoff to head
to Garr Ranch.

At Bear River, the waters had retreated from the roads, but the fields were
still plenty wet. A lone CATTLE EGRET was along the road out to the refuge.
On teh Auto Tour Loop on the west side was a single GREAT EGRET. Plus all our
other favorite wetland birds! (I probably forogt something... or not, it was a
fairly lackluster day)
