Re: Cassin's Finch, Cats do not mix (or any other bird for that matter)

Unfortunately the Cassins Finch just died in my hands about 15 minutes ago. His breathing became labored and then he just succumbed to his injuries. I should have known that there was nothing that I could have done for him. I just took him out back and buried him and then had to chase off one of the frequent cat visitors to my yard.

I am going to start trapping them and calling animal control. If they have a tag, I will have them returned to the owner, but if they don't, they are going to the humane society. I really hate to punish the cat because of their owners irresponsibility, but I am trying to create a safe haven for birds in my yard and I'm going to start fighting back.
