hummingbird questions

Ok, ok....all this talk about hummingbirds has my interest.  I live in Northern Utah, almost at the ID border.  I've never seen a hummingbird in my backyard (at least I can't remember seeing any) so it it worth it to put a hummingbird feeder out?  Second, are there any tricks or tips as to where the feeder should go, etc.?
