RE: Weekly Bird Quiz info

Okay, you've all seen the cartoons with the angel on one shoulder saying
"Don't do it!" and the devil on the other saying "Do it!" Not that this
picture meets my model for decision making, but in this case "the devil"
won (probably to my eternal regret).

I have not personally met anyone involved in this "little discussion," so
all I'm responding to is what I have read and observed as "an outsider" that
enjoys keeping up with the "bird happenings" in Utah. But can someone help
me out on this one? Why is anything that someone says, if it is bird
related, such a big deal? As the list owner for IBLE (the Idaho state
listserv), I'm happy when there is material that helps someone - anyone - to
look more closely at birds...as through a "Bird Quiz." In fact, I was
seriously considering having an occasional one for IBLE also, because as a
teacher I believe that occasional quizzes are part of the learning process!

Now please excuse my ignorance, but somehow there seems to be more than a
"quiz" that is easily deleted (even if it requires two key strokes instead
of one) involved here. And if there is, that which might be really annoying
to those of us that don't know (and possibly don't care) about the
personalities involved (not that they aren't all just simply wonderful
people) is the fact that we are even spending time on this.

Come on people, if WE are hung up here, my only message to ALL OF US is "Get
a life!" Is that a little too harsh? Okay then, just hit delete twice.

A lot of us DON'T enjoy his weekly quizzes, too. For those of us to
"delete" email we don't want, we have to delete it TWICE.
