Winter Wren

January 16, 2005

I saw a WINTER WREN on the Provo River Trail (same location as in past
years). Park in the Canyon View picnic area's west end. Walk down river
(going west), cross over the river, turn left, and walk about 125 yards.
The bird was between the trail and the river.

Tuula Rose led an enjoyable and successful Utah County Birders' Field Trip
on Saturday morning. She called this trip the Cemetery field trip since
most of the time was spent in three cemeteries. Notable birds included:
LEWIS'S WOODPECKER, JUNIPER TITMOUSE, GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET, EVENING
GROSBEAK. Refer to the Utah County Birder's website for future field trips
with their details. All are invited.
