We also visited the Blue Jay locales in Brigham City and Clarkston on
Saturday morning. No Blue Jay seen in Brigham City, but we did see the
jays in Clarkston. We saw two at the feeders at 211 So. Main, but at
the house at the end of the block (2 houses west) we saw four,
and possibly five, Blue Jays flitting around on the fence and ground by the
plastic blue tub. I don't know what the attraction was, but it was also
very enticing to the Magpies.
At Hyrum Lake we found the Pacific Loon at the west end, near the dam,
along with a pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes. We didn't see any Surf
Scoters.
