Varied Thrush, 10-18-04

Pomera and I birded Antelope today. The ranch was awash in Ruby-crowned Kinglets and Juncos. We saw an adult male Varied Thrush just east of the spring house--it was under the trees at the edge of the swampy area on the north side of the "point." No sign of the Magnolia Warbler. On the causeway on the south side by the marina we saw a small flock of about 15 Red-necked Phalaropes.

Good birding y'all,
Julie Van Moorhem
