Re: Mandarin Ducks seen in Logan



So how does a bird meet the "standards" to make it on the list?
I guess that would be what I am questioning.

How did the Ring Necked Pheasant, European Starling, House Finch, House Sparrow, Gray Partridge, Rock Pigeon, etc., etc. (introduced species) make it on the list?

Is there any significance if Mandarin Ducks are breeding in the wild?

Just curious.

The only problem is the bird doesn't meet ABA or AOU
standards because it is not listed on either list.
