Ross's goose, blue-wing teal in Utah county

A Ross's goose was observed at about 12:30 p.m. today with a flock of
Canada geese in a field about 6-800 yards north of Lincoln Beach. The
flock was feeding in the field's short grass about 300 yards east of the
highway. There were no waders or peeps at Lincoln Beach or along the
south shore of the lake, except for killdeer and an occasional great
blue heron.

A blue-wing teal was spotted at about 5:00 p.m. swimming in Secret Pond
in Goshen. This is a very nice little pond reported by Reed Stone last
year. To reach Secret Pond, turn north on 13300 West in Goshen (i.e.,
the first right as you proceed west out of town, it may be 13000 West
rather than 13300 West). Follow the road to it's end (about 2.5 miles?)
and turn left. This short dirt road ends at a gated fence. The pond is
clearly visible from the fence and easily observed in its entirety.
Please respect this area as private property and do not trespass, even
though it is not marked.
