Message: Pomera and I birded White's Valley this AM. Along the first mile after the freeway exit we saw a singing Grasshopper Sparrow and a Burrowing Owl. We didn't find the Gray Partridge, but we did meet Jack and got the Sharp-tailed Grouse together.

At Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge we saw lots of Avocets and chicks at various stages of development, a few Black-necked Stilt babies, a lone Snowy Plover, a Great Egret, lots of Snowy Egrets, and the usual assortment of birds for this time of year.

Good birding y'all,
Julie
