Dear fellow birders,

I know many of you have spent countless hours birding the fantastic sites of Lytle Ranch, Zion National Park, etc. in Washington County.

I'm planning and have begun collecting information for a book hopefully on the birds of Washington County. I've spent much of my life here watching birds at my feeder and throughout the county, and I feel a book should be written, both to preserve this vital information on the status of the county's species and to inform both local and visiting birders on the locations and times of year to see the birds they are looking for.

If any of you have records, preferably with location, date, and observer, from the county, I'd greatly appreciate them. All those donating information will be acknowledged in the book.

Also, if any of you have photos of birds taken in Washington County, I could use those as well, with appropriate referencing.

This book has been a project of mine for several years now, and I hope to pull it all together while I'm home in Washington County this summer.

Any suggestions are welcome.
