Nests in a shrub at a height of 2-6 feet, in a cup nest. This species is a frequent cowbird host. During the breeding season, this species is an insectivore: lower-canopy gleaner.
  

Habitat: Breeds in Utah in pinyon-juniper and northern oak habitats.
