Field Marks and Identifying Characteristics: |
Loon was quite large, with a thick neck and pale-yellow bill, tip of
bill was entirely pale. Knob on the forehead with a blocky head
appearance, pale barring on back. The bill held at upward angle. (see photos) |

It looked a lot like some common loons close by, but was noticeably larger and its bill was a different color. my app also pulls up as a yellow-billed loon with all my photo's. |
