Summary: The Committee did not feel adequate
observation time and descriptive details were provided to separate this
individual from other similar species. There were also questions as to whether
this may have been a naturally occurring bird or an escapee from a game farm. As
this is the first reported sighting of the species in Utah, it was felt that
additional documentation would be necessary to accept this as a first state
record.
