I was sitting in the middle of the lake and it made a single pass over the lake passing within 20 feet and no more than 20 feet high, erratic flight pattern just like a swallow, appeared solid black including belly, slightly forked tail. much larger than the tree swallows that were flying in the same area.

Bill Slater (6 October  2016) - [Boulge Reservoir] - Gray Jay. Very surprised, on my ATV, didn't have my camera. Definitely not Clark's Nutcracker. Light gray head with dark patch behind eye and a bit behind the head, stubby bill not at all large(long) and pointed like Clark's Nutcracker. Very tame, flew around me back and forth for several minutes. Had a more squarish tail, saw no white on it. Dark back all the way up to just behind back of neck. Did not fly off until I re-started my atv and began to move. It was very close to me, about five or six yards at times.

Pelicans doing aerial maneuvers, Blue-winged Teal, swallows, Turkey Vultures

Oliver Hansen (23 Oct 2011) - I spent Friday evening and most of Saturday up on the Wasatch Plateau to hike the San Pete and Emery Co. high points (South Tent Mountain and East Mountain). I started the traverse of the plateau by driving up the canyon just east of Spring City (Spring canyon?) and drove up to Skyline Drive and camped there Friday night. Saturday morning I took the horribly rutted out section of Skyline Drive over to the Tent mountains and climbed both N. and S. Tents. Plenty of the usual birds you would suspect in an aspen/pine forest at 10000 feet. The highlight though, was a huge flock of Mountain Bluebirds (50-100) right up on the saddle between the two peaks...

Mike Monson (5 Jun 2009) - Mike Monson reported that he's still getting RED CROSSBILLS at his feeder in Mt. Pleasant and has been for about a month. He's also had a
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, a male one time and a female another, come to his feeder. North of town (between Mt. Pleasant and Fairview) he has recently seen an INDIGO BUNTING, as well as some regularly appearing EVENING GROSBEAKS.

(4 Jul 2008) - Mike Monson reported seeing an Eastern Towhee along Pleasant Creek Dr. this morning, about 1/2 mile below the power plant just before a burnt-out area on the north side of the road. He has not been able to re-locate the bird but will call if he can find it again.

Mike Monson reported a male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker in Mt. Pleasant on 1 Oct 2006. The bird was in a Russian Olive tree at 200 South and 780 East on the north side of the street. It has not been seen since.

Kevin Colver - (Friday, May 24, 2002) While watching and listening to the Cordilleran Flycatchers near the bridge in Maple Canyon I found a singing Winter Wren about 30 meters above the bridge along the creek on the south side of the dirt road.  Maple Canyon is 6 miles southeast of Fountain Green in San Pete county.  The wren sang at about 10:30 AM today.

Darren Clark - (Sat, 09 Feb 2002) I don't know if this is noteworthy, but this is a slow time of year bird-wise.  I found a Northern Pygmy Owl perched on top of a conifer, in the double row of conifers just north of the Manti Temple (Sanpete County). This was today at 4:30 pm.  Also in Sanpete county were quite a few Bald and Golden Eagles, Rough-legged Hawks, and American Tree Sparrows.  These birds were in the marshes bordering the Sevier river between Fayette and Gunnison.
