BOX ELDER COUNTY

A HERRING GULL was seen at the southeast corner of the auto-tour loop at BRMBR on Friday, 09/21 (TJ).


CACHE COUNTY

At Deep Creek Canyon in the Wellsvilles west of Logan, a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER was seen on Tuesday, 09/18 (SD).


DAVIS COUNTY

A juvenile RUFF was seen at the ponds at the west end of Glover Lane in Farmington at about 1:30 pm on Sunday, 09/23 (DG,JVM). It was seen and photographed later that same day in the same location (MS,DW,v.o.). The bird was in the north end of the pond closest to the road, but was seen flying out to the Great Salt Lake shoreline at dusk. If accepted, this will be the first record of Ruff in Utah.

At the Garr Ranch at Antelope Island SP, a RED-EYED VIREO and a VARIED THRUSH were seen on Sunday, 09/23 (DG,JVM). This may be the earliest fall record for Varied Thrush in Utah.

Other good birds at the Garr Ranch on Antelope Island on Sunday, 09/23, included CASSIN'S VIREO, WINTER WREN, NASHVILLE WARBLER, and TOWNSEND'S WARBLER (DG,JVM).

A PECTORAL SANDPIPER was seen at the south end of the west dike road at FBWMA on Sunday, 09/23 (DG,JVM).

On the AIC, SANDERLINGS were seen on Friday, 09/21 (TJ).


SALT LAKE COUNTY

A SABINE'S GULL was seen along Lee's Creek, on the south shore of the Great Salt Lake east of Saltair, on Wednesday, 09/19 (AN,v.o.).

Along the south shore of the Great Salt Lake east of Lee's Creek, two BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS were seen on Wednesday, 09/19 (AN,v.o.).


UTAH COUNTY

A NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH was seen near the Botany Pond on the BYU campus on Friday, 09/21 (MW). The bird was along the canal above the pond. The Botany Pond is located in the arboretum, which is on 800 North, between 500 and 600 East in Provo.

At the "Camelot Woods," a NASHVILLE WARBLER was seen on Tuesday, 09/18 (KCC,PF). The woods is located just west of the northern Springville exit off I-15.


WASHINGTON COUNTY

An immature CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER was seen near the inflow to Quail Creek Reservoir on Saturday, 09/22 (KC,RF). The bird was in the willows between Harrisburg and the reservoir.

On Sunday, 09/23, three COMMON TERNS were seen at Quail Creek Reservoir, and a HORNED GREBE was seen at the sewage ponds along SR 9 west of Hurricane (KC,RF).
