BOX ELDER COUNTY

A EURASIAN WIGEON was seen on the small pond just north of the campground at Willard Bay SP on Wednesday, 04/11 (DG,DS). To get to the pond, take the gravel frontage road north on the west side of I-15, opposite the park entrance. The pond is right after the second right-angle turn.


SALT LAKE COUNTY

In an unusual sighting for northern Utah, a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was seen and heard singing in a Holladay neighborhood on Sunday and Monday, 04/8-9 (BB). The bird was near Olympus High School.

In that same area, PYGMY NUTHATCHES are still being seen as of Monday, 04/09 (BB). They have been there at least since last December, when they were first seen on the Salt Lake Christmas Bird Count.

A MERLIN was seen on Monday, 04/09, in the vicinity of 5600 West and 6200 South (BR).


UTAH COUNTY

A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW, which has been coming to a feeder in Provo on-and-off all winter, returned on Sunday, 04/08 (MM).

A GREAT EGRET was seen along the northern half of the west side of the Provo Airport dike on Wednesday, 04/11 (RS).
