CACHE COUNTY

A male HOODED MERGANSER was seen west of Richmond on Sunday, 03/25. It was on some ponds which can be reached by taking a dirt road west from North Cache school in Richmond for 1-2 miles. The ponds are on the north side of the road. Also on 03/25, a HORNED GREBE was seen at Clay Slough (BD).

About 70 SNOW GEESE were seen at the Cutler Marsh west of Logan on Saturday, 03/24 (BD).


DAVIS COUNTY

At FBWMA, TUNDRA SWANS and SNOW GEESE were seen on Wednesday, 03/28 (HG).


JUAB COUNTY

A EURASIAN WIGEON was seen at Fish Springs NWR on Sunday, 03/25 (CN). The bird was in the northeast corner of the Shoveler Unit. This is only the second record of this species at Fish Springs.

Also at Fish Springs NWR on Sunday, 03/25, a lone SNOW GOOSE and a BONAPARTE'S GULL were seen (CN).


MILLARD COUNTY

On Saturday, 03/24, a flock of about 1000 geese at Gunnison Bend Reservoir was estimated to be about 30-45% ROSS'S GEESE, with the balance being SNOW GEESE. A single "Blue" Goose was also present in the flock (P&SS).


SAN JUAN COUNTY

An EASTERN PHOEBE was seen at the Hatch Trading Post southeast of Blanding on Saturday, 03/31 (MS,DW). The bird was in the trees across the road from the store.


UTAH COUNTY

One male and two female GREATER SCAUP were seen at Lincoln Point along the south shore of Utah Lake on Wednesday, 03/28 (DS).

Along the dike at the Provo Airport on Tuesday, 03/27, a HORNED GREBE was seen at the southwest corner, and a BLUE-WINGED TEAL was seen to the east of the dike where the dike meets the lake on the east side of the airport (EH).


WASATCH COUNTY

A BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was seen near the dam at Deer Creek Reservoir on Tuesday, 03/27 (JC).


WASHINGTON COUNTY

A ZONE-TAILED HAWK was seen at Pine Park on Monday, 03/26 (DG). Pine Park is located west of Enterprise, and is the same area where Zone-tailed Hawks have been seen for the past two years.

A male ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD was seen at the Red Hills GC in St. George on Saturday, 03/31 (RD,RF). The bird was in the patch of native shrubs near the west end of the course.

Also at Red Hills GC in St. George, a pair of VERMILION FLYCATCHERS was seen in the cottonwoods near the second tee on Saturday, 03/31 (RD,RF).

A COMMON BLACK-HAWK was seen at Lytle Ranch in Beaver Dam Wash on Friday, 03/23 (B&GB,RT). It was in the same area where black-hawks have nested for several years, in the first group of large cottonwoods in the center of the wash north of the small irrigation pond.
