BOX ELDER COUNTY
A winter-plumage HUDSONIAN GODWIT was seen at BRMBR on Monday, 08/28 (C&TN). The bird was seen along the east side of the auto-tour loop, about 1/2 mile north of the southeast corner.
Also at BRMBR on Monday, 08/28, two RED KNOT in winter plumage were seen along the east side of the auto-tour loop, about 1/2 mile north of the southeast corner (C&TN).
On Tuesday, 08/29 at BRMBR, a TRUMPETER SWAN and a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER were seen near the northwest corner of the auto-tour loop, and a COMMON TERN was seen along the east side of the auto-tour loop about 1/2 mile norrth of the southeast corner (M&PD).
An adult LITTLE BLUE HERON was seen at Farmington Bay WMA on Sunday, 08/27 (J&KB). The bird was last seen in the pond on the west side of the entrance road, at the point where the road bends west.
The winter-plumage RUDDY TURNSTONE, which was seen at the west end of the marina parking area at Antelope Island SP on 08/19, has been seen again by several observers. It was seen on Sunday, 08/27 (J&KB,EC) and on Monday, 08/28 (C&SA,C&TN).
At the Garr Ranch at Antelope Island SP, a winter-plumage male INDIGO BUNTING was seen on Saturday, 08/26 (KL,MS,DW).
Two PECTORAL SANDPIPERS were seen at the marina at Antelope Island SP on Tuesday, 08/19 (M&PD).
A PECTORAL SANDPIPER was seen again at the pond at the west end of Glover Lane, about one mile west of the entrance to Farmington Bay WMA, on Sunday, 08/27. That same day, two COMMON MOORHENS were seen at Farmington Bay WMA, at the pond on the west side of the entrance road, at the point where the road bends west (J&KB).
A juvenile-plumage HORNED GREBE was seen along the Antelope Island Causeway on Saturday, 08/26. The bird was between mile markers 5 and 6 (MS,DW).
SALT LAKE COUNTY
A possible CONNECTICUT WARBLER was reported seen along the JRP on Wednesday, 08/30 (JH). The bird was along the trail just north of 3300 South. If confirmed, this would be the second record of Connecticut Warbler in Utah.
Other birds seen near 3300 South along the JRP on Wednesday, 08/30 included a CASSIN'S VIREO and a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER (JH).
Along the Dog Lake Trail in Millcreek Canyon, a CASSIN'S VIREO, a NASHVILLE WARBLER, and a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER were seen on Sunday, 08/27 (C&TN).
A POMARINE JAEGER was seen and photographed at Little Lyman Lake in the Uinta Mountains on Saturday, 08/26 (KF). The bird was an adult, light-phase individual, was very tame, and may have been feeding on numerous small, dead trout along the shore. Little Lyman Lake is located along the North Slope Road, about 15 miles east of SR 150. This is the second record of Pomarine Jaeger in Utah.
Two PURPLE MARTINS were seen near the entrance to Utah Lake SP on Sunday, 08/27 (J&KB).
Two COMMON TERNS were seen near Lincoln Point, along the south shore of Utah Lake, on Sunday, 08/27 (J&KB).
