BOX ELDER COUNTY
On Friday, 090/18, a SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER was seen at the Harold Crane
WMA. They were among 15 species of shorebirds observed there. Others
among
them were SEMIPALMATED PLOVER and BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, along with
PEREGRINE
FALCON and four species of terns, including COMMON TERN (KE,JR,AS).
DAVIS COUNTY
An immature SABINE'S GULL was seen along the Antelope Island Causeway on
Thursday, 09/17. The bird was about 2.5 miles from the entrance station (RK).Richard

On Friday, 09/18, the SABINE'S GULL was again seen along the south side
of
the causeway at mile marker 4. Other birds seen there included
SEMIPALMATED
PLOVER and BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, both of which were near the entrance to
the
causeway (DW).
GARFIELD COUNTY
Two adult SABINE'S GULLS were seen in the town of Tropic, just east of
Bryce Canyon National Park. The birds were at the town sewage ponds at
about 7 pm on Monday, 09/14 (BM).
GRAND COUNTY
An apparent immature INDIGO BUNTING was seen at the Matheson Wetlands in
Moab on Saturday, 09/12 (DG).
SALT LAKE COUNTY
A NASHVILLE WARBLER was seen in City Creek Canyon at picnic area #13,
just
below mile marker 2 on Monday, 09/14. Also in City Creek on the same
day, a
RUFFED GROUSE was seen at mile marker 2.5 (AM).
SAN JUAN COUNTY
In the riparian area along the San Juan river near the town of Bluff, a
NASHVILLE WARBLER and a CASSIN'S VIREO were seen on Sunday, 09/13 (DG).
WASATCH COUNTY
An immature SABINE'S GULL was seen at Deer Creek Res. on Saturday,
09/19.
It was seen from the last pull-out along Highway 189 before the
turn-off to
Midway (RT, MW).
