Utah County Birders were treated to an informative evening of birding last
night (Oct. 12) at their monthly meeting. The 30 attendees heard bird book
reviews (no field guides) from 13 of their colleagues. Each reviewer spent
between three and five minutes telling the highlights of his or her selected
book. Examples of books reviewed included: Kingbird Highway, The Big Year,
and Birding on Borrowed Time.
A surprise for those attending the meeting were FREE bird feeders courtesy
of Doc Hansen.
Next month's meeting (Nov. 9, at 7:00 pm, BYU's Bean Museum) features an
outstanding Sparrow Identification Power Point presentation by Milt Moody
and Merrill Webb. This will be a "must attend" type of meeting for all
birders and friends.
