Re-pinking the Ovenbird

I heard a report this weekend that some of the pink tape marking the
Ovenbird's location on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail in Ogden had been
removed. So I went there briefly this morning to re-pink the Ovenbird.
Most of the tape was gone, but thankfully, the Ovenbird was not. He was
singing and I watched him for 5 minutes or so at the furthest-south set
of tape, in the oak on the down-slope side of the trail. I've concluded
that's his favorite place to sing because he always seems to return to
that spot when I visit.

The other reason I re-pinked the location was for the oh-so-macho Bruce
Robinson. I figured if Bruce wants to visit the Ovenbird again and has
to follow the color pink, the endeavor will give him a chance to get in
touch with his feminine side.

I also visited the Fort Buenaventura Group Camping Site where I heard
and saw a Red-eyed Vireo Thursday. I listened for a long time, but
didn't hear the vireo.
