Hi, my twin is here visiting from Mississippi, escaping from the hurricane
trauma for a few days. We are hoping to find white-tailed ptarmigan. I have
only seen them in winter plumage down low near Henry's Fork campground. Is
there a place we can go now (near Rock Springs, WY) and be fairly confident of
finding them. Don't mind hiking 5-7 miles if necessary, but she won't do an
overnight backpack. Thanks. Sandy Mitchel
