THANKS EVERYONE
The vote is in 5-2 in favor of a Loggerhead.
All the comments I received noting the markings on the Northern vs. the
Loggerhead will help me distinguish the birds in the future. I am very
appreciative.
The bird had so much less contrast in color, I thought perhaps I had
labeled it incorrectly as a Loggerhead but there was no white
"under-eye"arc as my sis-in-law, Carol Davis pointed out.
I see on Jack's photo that the eye arc is very faint.  Also, Jack's bird
looks like it is a Gray 1st winter bird.
Jack, is it ok if I use your photo in my field guide for future
reference?
