Yesterday afternoon at Lytle around 4:00 PM there was a Louisiana
Waterthrush. I had the bird about 1/2 mile upstream past the Lytle boundary.
It way in the first really lush area of willow and cottonwoods along the
creek. There is also a singing Bell's Vireo in the same area that will help
you locate the spot. The bird called quite a bit with some coaxing.
On Saturday there was a Male Calliope Hummingbird at Lytle just past the
Orchard along the road on the right. Also in St. George there was a Cassin's
Vireo.
                   Good birding, Larry Tripp
