After work this afternoon I took a hike up Rock Canyon (east of Provo's LDS
Temple). The following were seen: 2 GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS, RUBY-CROWNED
KINGLET, BROWN CREEPER, TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE, 2 STELLER'S JAYS. Audible but
unseen were: CANYON WREN and CHUKER.
Also seen was a Big Horn Sheep.
Another memorable sight was of Utah Lake reflecting on its surface a
beautiful sunset as I hiked back down the canyon.
Should you venture into Rock Canyon, know that the trail becomes ice-packed
and very slippery about 100 yards past the second gate.
