Terry Sadler sent in this picture of a White-winged Dove that he
took in his yard in Murray on 16 Oct 2005. The last time a
White-winged Dove was seen in Salt Lake County was on 1 May 1962 when one
was seen in Liberty Park. (There have been three sightings in Davis County, to the north, in the last few years: On 18 Jun 2003 Kent Morby saw one in his yard in Bountiful, on 29 Aug 2002 Glenn Barlow reported one at Garr Ranch on Antelope Island and on 13 Sep 1997 Joel and Kathy Beyer also saw one at Garr Ranch on Antelope Island). |
