Hello,

Yesterday afternoon (10/14), Kevin Wheeler and I located a female Scarlet Tanager at Beck Spring in Snake Valley, Millard Co., UT. The tanager was keeping company with a Western Tanager for nice direct comparisons. Both tanagers spent most of their time at the top of large poplars flycatching wasps and bees. I managed to take some long distance photos for documentation purposes. We stopped by a few additional West Desert locations but didn't see any late migrants or otherwise noteworthy species.
