Murray Section of the Jordan River Parkway

Directions:  There are three good access points to the Murray section of the Jordan River Parkway (which runs just west of I-15 about a half mile to a mile).  One is at 4800 South, another is at 5400 South and a third is at 6400 South or Winchester Blvd. 

Description:  The 5400 South access is from Germania Park (turn north on 1070 West) which is on the east side of the river and is mainly a parking lot or from Taylorsville, Millrace Park on the west side of the river which has restroom and picnic facilities. There is a footbridge connecting the two parks.

Birds you might see along the trail:  Terry and Pam Sadler have prepared an excellent list of birds they have seen along this part of the Jordan River Parkway.  It gives information about how common each bird is,  in what season of the year you might see it and a concise description and comment about the bird.  Web version  |   Printable version (10 Pages)
