Directions: The road between Milton and Stoddard is called West Stoddard Lane. Take Hatchery Road,  the first road going south just to the west side of the I-84 freeway under pass.  In about a half block the road will turn left at a "Stoddard Slough" sign and then will immediately curve back to the right. In a few hundred feet, there will be a parking lot on the right side of the road.

Description:  Across the road from the first parking lot (room for 4 or 5 vehicles) there is a marsh area with a stream passing through.  On the south end of the parking lot there is a dirt road going along a very slow-moving stream lined with marshy habitat that ends in about 1/10 of a mile (see photo above).  The road the takes off left after the parking lot leads to a trailhead and a tail that goes along the stream to a grove of trees about 1/10 of a mile upstream, (See photo below).

Description:  Good place for Soras and Virginia Rails as well as other marsh birds.
