Directions:  1. Go south from Tooele on UT 36 about 26 miles and turn right on the Pony Express route.  Go 79 miles on the gravel road to the refuge.
   2. Go northeast from Delta on US 6 about 9 miles and turn west on UT 174.  Go 58 miles to the Pony Express route and turn left.  Go 20 miles to the refuge.

Restrictions: Birding is generally NOT permitted in the housing area!  However, Jay Banta has offered a possible exception to that rule under the following guidelines:

"We will generally grant birders permission to bird the housing area but they must ask in advance after arriving. If it is on a weekend or after hours when the office is not open, they should send a representative down and knock on housing doors until they find someone to ask. On the rare occasion that no one is there they may NOT bird the housing area."
