Field Marks and Identifying Characteristics: |
Bright yellow kingbird flew directly over head while flycatching, and I immediately noted the lack of white outer tail feathers. Took a few minutes to relocate perched on a tree right in front of the sun (hence the atrocious photos). Shortly after taking a couple of photos, the bird flew south. Pics show large notched bill, deeply notched tail, lack of white outer tail feathers, and an overall greenish-yellow back. (Pics also show some camera-lens smudging....) |
