Field Marks and
Identifying Characteristics:

A weakened bird was brought from Utah County, presumably Utah Lake, but not certain, to Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation on 31 October 2019. The bird died on 01 November 2019 and it was donated the the Museum of Wildlife and Fish Biology at the University of California, Davis in January 2020. There the bird was prepared as a round skin and spread wing. It was an adult female. It is specimen WFB-15248. We had not realize that this bird did not make its way to the records committee and so I am following up as this is only the fifth state record and first since the 1970s.
