| 2012 is a big year for
bird watching in
Utah! The 14th annual Great Salt Lake Bird
Festival May 17-21 is sponsoring Big Year Birder, Greg Miller who
is portrayed by actor Jack Black in the movie “The Big Year”. Big
Year Birder, Greg Miller, will be introduced by Utah’s Big Year
Birder, Tim Avery. Both Greg and Tim will guide field trips to
Utah’s birding hotspots. Greg will also be involved with
workshops at the Festival. Friday, May 18th and
Saturday May 19th programming at the
Davis County Events Center includes free workshops,
artists, booths, vendors, live birds and reptiles, and food for
people of all ages. Bird watching is a family activity. Bring
your family to Great Salt Lake Bird Festival May 18 and 19th.
