Sparrow-like bird with bright yellow supercilium, yellow malar stripe, bright yellow breast with bright yellow streak extending down center of whitish belly. appeared large headed. Rufous on shoulder. No large black V on throat. First spring male or maybe a bright female. Observed for about a minute about 20 feet away. In bushes by river where the dirt road meets the beach.

Jared Davidson (23 April 20150 - [Pioneer Crossing, Lehi to Inlet Park] - Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Hermit Thrush

David Wheeler (23 April 2015) - [Lincoln Beach and River Lane]:
--I decided to stop planting tomatoes for a bit on Monday (my day off) in order to follow up with the recent reports of good shorebirds in Utah county. Faithful but increasingly chubby Mojo was getting a little heavy in the mid-section anyway (they say that dogs begin to look like their masters--sure enough), so this was a good chance for hip to stretch his legs. The sight of the bicycle brings a look of terror in that dog's face anymore, so this was more his speed. Sure enough, he seemed content to lope three paces behind me at our middle-aged pace. Foolishly, we did this in the middle of the day, and so both of us were more lethargic than usual.
-- Lincoln Beach still had at least 5 trusting Snowy Plovers (gosh they're lovely, with those subtle pale shades), several Willets, about 15 Least Sandpipers, and a Say's Phoebe. I don't recall if there were Marbled Godwits there, but I think there was one.
-- River Lane had some year firsts as well: An unexpected Western kingbird at the last farmhouse on the paved portion of the road, Bank swallows aplenty, and 2 Blue-gray gnatcatchers. At the end of the dirt road, on the silty shore of Utah Lake, there were two SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS, 4 Marbled Godwits, and two Brewer's sparrows, along with some Bonaparte's gulls, etc. There were surprisingly many American goldfinches along River Lane too. The lazy dog kept indicating to the car (funny creatures), so I didn't prolong his agony any more than I had to.
